2026: Meet us at the Music Hall

On 26 February – 1 March the Lithuanian Jazz Union will take part in AGATA’s “Music Hall” (“Muzikos salė”), held during the Vilnius Book Fair at LITEXPO.

We invite you to visit our stand – it will present news of Lithuanian jazz, you will have the chance to meet jazz artists, talk to the President of the Lithuanian Jazz Union and learn more about our work. New Lithuanian jazz albums will also be presented!

2025: Taking part in the Music Hall

We invite jazz musicians to register and join the stand of the Lithuanian Jazz Union (LJU) at the Music Hall organised by the AGATA association on 27 February – 2 March 2025.

Registration for the LJU stand is open until 10 November (the same deadline as AGATA’s registration for having your own stand). You can register for the LJU stand by filling in this form.

The stand is meant to represent the Lithuanian jazz community. As always, LJU will distribute the music releases of all jazz ensembles that wish to have them distributed. No registration is needed for this; you only need to deliver your albums to LJU and agree to the conditions set by LJU.

In addition, 4 to 6 of the registered bands will get the chance to become “focus” bands. This means they will have the right to be at the stand all the time and directly offer, promote and distribute their releases. They will also be featured in the stand’s visuals and in LJU’s communication.

What does LJU offer registered bands and those that pass the selection?

  • a cosy corner at the LJU stand,
  • the chance to talk directly with album buyers,
  • LJU will take care of the stand design, which will include the selected band’s name, photo and a short description,
  • promotion through LJU channels,
  • one participant card and 2 single-use invitations to the Book Fair.

What do we expect from you?

  • fair, respectful and responsible sharing of the stand space,
  • friendly and active communication with colleagues and music buyers,
  • responsible and punctual delivery of the information needed to decorate the stand,
  • a participation fee of €120.

How is this registration different from AGATA’s registration?

AGATA’s registration gives you the chance to have your own stand, which you can decorate as you wish and are able to. However, AGATA runs its own selection, and jazz musicians compete with better-known artists and organisations from other kinds of music.

That is why, by agreement with AGATA, LJU gets the chance to present a limited number of “focus” jazz musicians, giving them cheaper participation (no need to pay for stand decoration), less competition in the selection for a stand, and allowing more jazz musicians to present their work at the Music Hall.

LJU’s selection will give priority to bands that:

  • released a physical copy of a new album in 2024 / 2025,
  • all of whose members are members of the Lithuanian Jazz Union,
  • agree to the LJU stand design and the stand-sharing conditions.
